Thinking in Pastels

Thinking aloud in pastels. Don't know why I didn't think of this before -- just coloring away. 8-] I'm considering flipping the house and moon on the top. Only the nude is carved (in outline) -- rest is speculation at this point.

Very interesting approach, Ellen. I hadn't thought of combining pastels and printmaking before, though it shouldn't surprise me. I'll be interested in seeing how these sorts of ideas develop.

Well, I know Degas used pastel on his prints after he printed them. But I'm just using them as "sidewalk chalks" to block out my image before hand. Because my block is sealed with black gesso, it wipes off neatly with a damp paper towel, like a blackboard.
