Nude Moon & Star

5x6 linocut, b&w, rev faux-print

First linocut. Almost too easy to cut -- have to be careful not to gouge the block. I scanned in the block, flipped it, darkened it to mimic a print. Looks pretty good. Have to try printing it tomorrow and see what I really get.

You know Ellen, as obvious as the technique may be of just creating a scanned negative as a "test print," it honestly hadn't occurred to me - and I deal with Photoshop all day long. Thanks for teaching me something new.

My pleasure. ;-] Yeah, it was one of those "duh" moments. It isn't perfect -- it picks up the 3D shading of the block (but then it is a test...). ;-j
