Metallic pastels don't show up in photos, alas.  They're nice and shiny.

Pasteling

Pastel on my darkest print.  Rich gold belt & lights; red coat.

Pastel on my lightest print.  Now to go for something in the middle.

And with a yellow buckle and lights.  They seem brighter.

Finally printed the Nicky and Gabby blocks.  I'll add pastel when they dry.  Careful not to add too much.

Xmas Card Print

Nice.  I printed a handful.  I should be able to add pastel tomorrow or Sun.  Nothing like cutting it close!  Have to order these cards from Vistaprint on Cyber Monday.

Time to Print

Mirror, bw, darker (i.e., faux print).

Either carve some snowflakes in front of the castle (or add them with white pastel).

Time to print.  Play with pastels (red suit, silvery castle, yellow/gold windows, belt buckle, white for gloves).

Faux Print

Dark gloves don't work.  Might try tan, but Jeane suggested white.

I erased the gloves.  I think I like white.  Helps to frame the glove.

Getting there.  Might be ready for a test print.  Just a little more on the very fine lines.

Starting to carve.  Testing out some ideas, like for the snowflakes in the snow globe.  Probably should be 6-sided.

I like the inside of the sleeve on the left, make the one on the right the same (i.e., shading back into the sleeve).

Ordered some blocks from McClains.  Not sure which size I'll use, so I ordered 3 sizes.

Embiggening the Snow Globe

Embiggened the snow globe by widening the distance between the hands for it.  Hands need a little work.

Colors

Starting to consider dimensions.  Hands too big for the sleeves.  Globe needs to be bigger.  Probably tighter crop.

Santa's Snow Globe

Still noodling around with the cartoon, but getting there.  I like the traditional Santa belt better than the cord.  Cleaner look.

Might go in tighter, but this looks pretty good.

Time to start working on the SH xmas card.  I'm googling snow globes, hands, Santa gloved hands.

No cartoon yet, but mulling over the motifs.
