Medieval Medalion

faux print

3" sq. block

I'll be making a mess of these medieval tapestry and tile pattern blocks to mix and match for fabric printing at a fiber retreat this summer. I have some fabric inks to try out.

Even Yet More Gameday

More Gameday

Woo! Equalized the colors again. 8-] Wish I had a printer that could do it justice.

I love the textures and color in this picture.

Cat Walk

Like these colors. First I twirled the cat, then I used fluid.

More Flat Me

With equalized color -- makes it pop to have so much dynamic color competition.

Sort of a negative tree.

I like the fire effect at the bottom, the water effect at the top.

Flat Me

These came from the flat me I made awhile back.

Billy's Harry Potter

Billy in his Harry Potter glasses. ;-> Funny, 'cuz it predates Harry Potter by about a decade. This was when he and I went down to San Diego for the So. CA Handweavers' Conference. He's standing in the Designing Weavers' booth.

Also From Eichling's Barn Door

Balooms7

I like those bites out of the columns, but I have no idea how I got them. ;-> I like this color combination.

Barn Door

Balooms

Steph showed me how to do a second layer. So the top one is now 50 opacity and distort: glass. Also I equalized the color at one point.

And here's what it comes from.

Geode

Geode
Also from Starry Night.

Plateau

Plateau

Love those colors. They come from Starry Night. I used the image:equalize on it, which brought up a lot of white. Thanx for the tip Vivien. 8-]

Tree-Sprite

Tree Sprite
Red Moon taken to even more extremes. Used Distort: Glass at one point, as well at Distort: Fluid.

Tree-Red Moon

Tree-Red Moon

Oooh, eerie. I like this one.

I hate this picture, but I have to admit, it made an interesting distortion. ;-j

Ring Around the Moon

Ring Around the Moon

Now that's kewl. ;-] I'm figuring out which tools do what: stir to the left, stir to the right, gather, repel. That sort of thing. Sounds like spell-casting. ;- j

This image was the dolphin room in Knossos palace. It's the colors that make the finished product. It doesn't seem to require the same proportions, tho, as evident in the amount of blue.

Tree-Moon Fluid Distortion

Tree-Moon

My first computer graphical image. 8-] I started with an image of a quilt block and ended up with a fluid distortion crafted into a tree and the moon. w00t!

This was fun. And so mesmerizing. I played with this for hours in Photo Shop, fiddling around and finding a filter I liked. I can get into this!

I tried to pick up a book on digital art at B&N, but there was just too much I couldn't make heads nor tails of. So I just came home and started poking around with the program. Once I understand a bit more, I may be able to get a book and see what I'm doing.
Hmmm. I'm pretty sure this is the bear paw block I started with. I must have really stirred those colors to get them to blend like that. Or perhaps I somehow zeroed in on one section? I'll have to try it again and see if I get something similar.
