Summer class final project: headings from the yellow pages for inspiration -- mine was blue/bookkeeping. Process and thalo blue on white. (Scan streaks are ripples in the paper.)
Acid etching on grey paper with reddish brown ink. Rough rock wall background texture created with sand in soft ground, sanding and burnishing the plate after etching.
Paleo-Unicorn (Flavia), Paleo-Mythos Series This woodcut is patterned after Flavia's heraldic device in her colors. I daubed extra green on the unicorn and red on the hand. I liked the rounder look to the cuts.
Paleo-Phoenix, Paleo-Mythos Series
This is a viscosity woodcut print, using the 3 primary colors rolled on in different viscosities. Some color was wiped off, other colors mingled. This technique is always a happy accident.
